Description

Screen 1 - Landing page for policies (Level 2)

Key user goals:

  • Access relevant policy sections as quickly as possible

  • Find information about extended legal assistance (ELA) available to clients

  • Find guidelines on how to apply the policy

Design behaviour:

  • This level 2 content page consists of text sections and box components

  • We’ve taken 6 key sections of the Legal Aid NSW policy and displayed them here. They are stacked in rows of 3 for desktop, 1 for mobile

    • Criminal law matters

    • Family law matters

    • Civil law matters

    • Means test

    • Merit test

    • Delegation instrument

  • Selecting anywhere inside the box will take the user to the relevant policy section.

  • A user can view all policy sections by simply selecting the button ‘Access all policy sections’

  • To view policy updates (previously known as Policy bulletin) users need to select ‘View policy updates’ which will take them to a level 3 page ‘Policy updates’

  • Selecting the button ‘Access guidelines’ will lead the user to the level 3 page ‘Guidelines’

  • Selecting the button ‘Learn about ELA’ will lead the user directly to the ‘Extended legal assistance (ELA)’ level 3 page.

  • At the bottom of this page is a quick links option linking to relevant pages

  • A user can navigate to level 3 pages using the navigation panel on the left hand side.

Screen 2 - Policy section list (Level 3)

Key user goals:

  • Access relevant policy sections

Design behaviour:

  • This level 3 page consists of a list of policy sections

  • Users can navigate to Screen 3 by selecting on the section name.

  • Note: The design in the wireframe concepts uses a tile layout.

    • We propose using the list view displayed in the creative high fidelity designs to save screen real estate (based on the assumption that lawyers understand the policy section labels clearly and a description is not required)

  • A user can also navigate to other level 3 pages using the navigation panel on the left hand side.

Screen 3 - Section content page (Level 4)

Key user goals:

  • Land on a policy section and find a relevant chapter

Design behaviour:

  • This level 4 page consists of a list of items inside a particular policy section

  • Users can view the chapter information by select an item. This takes the user to Screen 4.

Screen 4 - Policy information (Level 5)

Key user goals:

  • Read about a specific chapter of a policy section

Design behaviour:

  • This level 5 page consists of content information.

  • Users can use the side navigation/ breadcrumbs to go back to previous pages.
