Overview
Objective
The sidebar navigation component allows users to navigate to different content pages based on the website sitemap.
Use case
This component should be used on content pages.
Business rules
BR-# | Business rules |
---|---|
BR-1 | On desktop, this component is be placed within a right side container. On mobile, this component is placed at the bottom of content page. |
BR-2 | The Right Navigation component can only be placed in the two column page and three column page in the right-hand side column. |
BR-3 | The component is dynamically populated based on the IA and page tree and is not content editable. |
BR-4 | By default, the component displays a child page list (shows only one level down on the information architecture). Users can select a box to open child pages if there are any. |
BR-5 | On click of any page title/link, user is directed to that page. |
BR-6 | The sidebar navigation can be disabled on a content page if required (e.g. for a content page containing an article) |
